Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed Achraf Hakimi will miss "the next few weeks" with a right thigh injury, ruling him out of their Champions League semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich.

Hakimi played the full 90 minutes of the first leg on Wednesday, providing an assist as PSG won 5-4 in a thrilling encounter at the Parc des Princes.

It was the first time in a European semi-final (any competition) that both teams scored 4+ goals, and just the second Champions League knockout-stage match after Chelsea drew 4-4 with Liverpool in the 2008-09 quarter-final.

Hakimi is now set to miss the return leg as PSG look to defend their Champions League crown, while his participation in a crucial Ligue 1 title clash against Lens on May 13 is also in doubt.

The club released a statement that read: "Having sustained an injury to his right thigh during the match against Bayern Munich, Achraf Hakimi will be out of action for the next few weeks."

Hakimi has played 31 games across all competitions for PSG this season, directly contributing to 11 goals (three goals, eight assists) from right-back.

The Moroccan's eight assists are the fourth-most for his team this term, behind Ousmane Dembele (10), Vitinha (10) and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (nine).

PSG also confirmed goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier will be sidelined for a few weeks after suffering a thigh injury in training.
