Barcelona suffered a memorable meltdown as they lost control, and ultimately their place in the Champions League.
Thirty minutes into their second leg against Paris Saint-German, the Catalan side were in a position of complete control. Raphina's 12th-minute strike had put Xavi's side 4-2 up on aggregate. Onlookers were happy to see the young talent of Lamine Yamal and Pedri combining with the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Ilkay Gundogan, and then a door opened for the visitors.
Ronald Araújo first gave away the ball before he was shown red for bundling over Bradley Barcola from the resultant chance after 29 minutes. Referee Istvan Kovacs was convinced of his decision despite fierce protestations from the defender, and VAR confirmed it.
The Barca ace was reluctant to leave the field and when he was eventually persauded to do so, a gesture followed. Araújo raise a signal with his hand: 'robbery' or 'thievery'.
It was a familiar face who compounded the Catalan giants' increasingly difficult situation. Former ace Ousmane Dembele narrowed the deficit just five minutes before half time and things did not improve in the second period.
Vitinha's strike saw the scorelines level on aggregate and Barca nerves fraught. Xavi did not take kindly to how things were developing.
The Barcelona legend was left frustrated by one decision from the official and unleashed his toys out of the pram by kicking a Champions League branded cushion of a pitchside camera. There was no shortage of verbal frustrations and he was quickly given his marching orders.
Just seven minutes on from Vitinha's 54th-minute goal, PSG found themselves with an opportunity to go in front at Camp Nou. Dembele proved problematic again as Joao Cancelo brought him down inside the area. Kylian Mbappe made no mistake from the spot.
There was still time for more frustration from the Barcelona bench however. Gundogan was denied a penalty and received a yellow card for his frustrations as a tempestous meltdown continued throughout the team.
It was Barcelona's goalkeeper coach Jose Ramon de la Fuente, who was to pick up the third red of the night such was his frustration and surprise that the decision did not go his team's way. A dramatic 30 minutes or so indeed.
The pain did not stop there for Barcelona however as Mbappe rounded off the night with a goal in the 89th minute. A brace against to help knock out the La Liga side will certainly go down well with future employers Real Madrid.

Barca planted this sort of seed … let them eat from it now. We used to tell them years ago when they always benefited from terrible officiating that someday this TABLE WILL TURN And so it turned last night
if that's what you want to say fairs, remember its turn by turn. You'll get yours for those offside goals and fake penalty after Juventus made a 3nil comeback in 3-peat

Whatever u plant, u will surely reap it. Barca just want to start taste the other way round officiating. Years back when they did it against Chelsea 2009/2010, they are all rejoicing and now turn to cry. Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, etc will be cry of it till enternity either now or later. Xavi is enjoying it now other should watch out

So Everyone is Celebrating and willing to see Injustice until it's their fav Club? A Real Football Fan should be against all sort of injustices and malpractices no matter whom it is against. Don't just cry and expect for sympathy only when it's against your Club! I'm no Barca Fan but I'm fully with Barca on this... Shameless Refereeing.
We are just clamouring for what's not there. if it's the other way round it's cool now it has affected them that's the time to accuse the ref of bias. I guess ovrebo, aytekin were good ref. the press carried the great comeback stories but didn't see the work of the ref that day. Every team will be mete with bad ref call whether deserved or undeserved. So they should complain whenever they are favoured and whenever they aren't.

PSG and Dortmund have done well, you talk to much on Real Madrid.
This mistake should be corrected we all know that this was not a red card Instead Barcoler was supposed to get a yellow card for diving into the box looking for a penalty The var replayed it and we all saw that it was just a touch on Barcoler shoulder and all he could do is to dive into the box Analyzing Ramos yellow card tackle on salah vs aroujo’s red card It’s not fair when the officials start making poor decisions and all the fans could do is to support them Well it’s all over but still then Barcelona need to rebuild their squad to make it happen again I’ll still say aroujo red card was not enough for them to stand weak….. let them rebuild their team and come back stronger…. Much is expected from them ❗️

well to me I would blame xavi because you might have seen it coming.the moment he gave the red card.guess what he wanted to do.just use your intelligent.learn from pep guadiolla.that this is not the time of accusing him than focus on the game.and beat the side that he is supporting.never drop your guard for any referee from today onwards.when things happen like this it about real focus and best strategy to nock psg out.thats all.
