Earlier this month, it was reported that Marc Casado would be involved with the Barcelona firs team during their upcoming pre-season campaign. As it turns out, he won’t be the only young defensive midfielder to make the step up from Barca Atletic.
As reported by MD, Hansi Flick has decided to run the rule over Marc Bernal, who is considered to be one of the brightest talents in La Masia. Sporting director Deco put forward the suggestion to include the 17-year-old in the first team’s pre-season camp, and Flick has accepted.
Bernal is considered by Barcelona officials to be one of the essential pieces of this new generation of homegrown players. Right now, he is ahead of Casado in Flick’s thinking, which bodes well for his chances of a permanent call-up to the first team for next season.
It makes complete sense for Bernal (or Casado) to be in the Barcelona first team dynamic, given the current lack of natural defensive midfielders. Counting on Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi from an early age has worked well for the Catalans, and it can certainly be the same again with Bernal.

That's what Barcelona used to do but it's not the password at Real Madrid. Madrid have a lot of players at the midfield. Since 199.... Madrid used top developed players not often Castilla players.
Understand, but atleast, with pasage of time some of our great talents from the Castilla should earn promotion. Nacho is a typical example! You know what, there's an ongoing agitations at our Juvenile levels. Most of them are seeking out, whilst, potential talents outside that Madrid wanna tap into & lure them to our various Juvenile levels are refusing to honour offers extended at them ! If our Juvenile teams collapses, where lies our stand going forward...? I know Madrid prefers buying from the outside bcos of their strong financial standing, but, in advertedly, that policy would have a toe at the club as a sporting entity in future !

We expect equally this great effort from Ancelotti & his coaching staff. Nico Paz & Mario Martin are more than due for promotion, but not at the sight of that old man who calls himself the "don". If care is not taken, with time, great talents would decline to be part of Madrid's Juvenile teams.... They would chose teams their passage to first team integration would be easier for them....
