Havertz jokes he will be the 'biggest fan of Tottenham EVER'

Arsenal forward Kai Havertz has joked he will be the 'biggest Tottenham fan ever' when they face Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta' men continued their impressive form as they beat Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford.

The win ensured the Gunners returned to the summit of the table ahead of Manchester City, who play their game in hand against Tottenham on Tuesday.

Havertz has insisted he and his team-mates will support Ange Postecoglou's men in the hope they win the Premier League title next Sunday.

'I'm going to biggest fan of Tottenham ever on Tuesday. We all are going to be so lets hope for the best', he said speaking to Sky Sports.

A draw in the showdown at the Tottenham Hotspur will ensure Arsenal remain at the top of the table on goal difference.

A win for Tottenham will see Arsenal remain in control of their own destiny ahead of the final day of the season due to their three-goal superiority over Pep Guardiola's side.

At Old Trafford, Leandro Trossard's 12th league goal of the season proved to be the difference.

Once again forced to start in the centre of defence amid  Manchester United's ongoing injury crisis, Casemiro failed to play Havertz offside enabling the former Chelsea star to play in Trossard for what proved to be the winning goal.

Mikel Arteta said on the win: 'We wanted to open that door to say, last game in front of our people, our families will be there. And let's leave one of the most beautiful days that we have lived together and see what happens.

On watching Manchester City's clash with Tottenham, the Arsenal boss added:  'We were certainly watching the games. I watch on all the games.

'It's true, we need that result in order to achieve it, and on top of that, we have to do our job. So everything is at stake.'
