On Friday local time, former Belgian international Eden Hazard appeared as a special guest on RMC radio's "Nuits du Cazarre Enchaîné" program, where he reflected on his professional career.

In the program, Hazard explained why he repeatedly rejected offers from Paris Saint-Germain. It's well known that since Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) took over, PSG has leveraged its financial strength and influence to successfully attract top stars like Ibrahimovic, Beckham, Neymar, Mbappe, and Messi. However, even so, PSG repeatedly encountered obstacles in their pursuit of Hazard. As a key player in Lille's 2011 title-winning team, Hazard left Lille in 2012 to join Premier League giants Chelsea. At Chelsea, he realized his lifelong dream, donning the Real Madrid jersey, which became the final stop of his professional career.

When asked about his reasons for rejecting Paris Saint-Germain, Hazard frankly stated, "I've been in contact with PSG every year. When I left Lille, I told myself, 'I won't go back to France to play for any team other than Lille. If I ever return to France to play, it will be for Lille, like hanging up my boots there.' For the sake of the Lille fans, and for the sake of this land in northern France, I didn't want to play in Paris."

"PSG is undoubtedly a top club. Nasser even personally spoke with me, offered a lot of money, and the team has consistently been a contender for the Champions League. But I was very happy at Chelsea at the time, and my next dream was to join Real Madrid, not to go to Paris first and then to Real Madrid."
