Eden Hazard believes former Chelsea teammate Frank Lampard can become 'one of the best managers in the world' after the latter's impressive start at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgian winger moved on from the west London club in the summer to join Real Madrid, just before Lampard took over managerial duties at Chelsea from Maurizio Sarri.
When asked on international duty with Belgium whether he was surprised by Lampard's impact at Chelsea, Hazard told The Metro: 'No, not at all.
'I know Frank as a player, not as a manager, but he's a great guy. He's showed already after four months that he can be one of the best managers in the world.
'The good thing is that they are playing with young players, young English players. For England it's good, for Chelsea's it's good. They are lucky to have young players with quality.'
Chelsea were unable to try and replace Hazard externally due to the transfer ban imposed on the club during the summer transfer window.
However, while it is believed that the ban gave Lampard the freedom to experiment with and integrate younger players, Hazard believes his side could be doing even better if they had been allowed to make a few additions in the summer.
Asked if he thought the ban had been a blessing in disguise, Hazard said: 'I don't know. Maybe with two or three more players they would [be] first!
'When I saw them play it's nice, they all play together. I still have good friends there. I follow them all the time. They are winning at the moment so I'm just happy for them.'

Lampard has been causing some serious stirs, turning Chelsea's young stars into a formidable team is quite remarkable, but he has a very long way to go before he's name can be put in the history books.... Titles and achievements are what makes a coach and the team recommendable of recognition,Lampard currently is one of the coaches that has taken the EPL and beyond by surprise soon enough I believe Chelsea would start winning trophies then Lampard would be one of them

If hazard was still at Chelsea, trust me him and Abraham alongside William could have been causing some serious upset in the EPL by now hazard would have doubled Chelsea's current goal tally how wonderful would it have been
