Chelsea star Eden Hazard has admitted that he won't do his knee-slide goal celebration anymore after hurting himself against Liverpool.

Hazard is known for often sliding on his knees when he scores but the Belgian will no longer celebrate in such a manner.

The 27-year-old showed off painful looking scabs that he sustained when celebrating his superb goal against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup last week.

Hazard told Chelsea TV: 'Look, look, the celebration - the sliding knee. I need to stop this.

'My knees - they are on fire! No more of this celebration.'

Notably, Hazard didn't slide on his knees when he scored against Liverpool in the Premier League last weekend.

Hazard has produced some excellent performances this season, as evidenced by the fact that he has scored seven goals in nine appearances across all competitions.

Chelsea, who beat Vidi 1-0 in the Europa League on Thursday, return to Premier League action on Sunday with an away game against Southampton.

The Blues are currently in third place in the Premier League, two points adrift of leaders Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Maurizio Sarri's side are top of their Europa League group having won both of their games so far.
