Brazil coach Tite told Lionel Messi to show some respect following claims from the Argentina captain that the Copa America had been “fixed” so the hosts would win.
Brazil clinched the Copa by defeating Peru 3-1 at the Maracana on Sunday but Tite felt that his side had been hard done by in some refereeing decisions and said Messi’s words had weighed on the officials.
'[Messi] needs to have more respect and accept when he was beaten,' said Tite, whose side beat Argentina 2-0 in a controversial semi-final.
'We were impacted [by referees] in several games, he puts huge pressure because of his reputation, we played fair against Argentina the whole time'

of course there'll be comments, complaints, reports, allegations and accusing arises from left to right (all these surfaces once the Favorites didn't get well into the competition nor failed to advance). rewind back when Brazil thumped by Germans 7-1 in WC (millions of complaints flooded) look at Ronaldo winning Nations Cup a fortnight ago (how if Portugal failed to win it - anyone guessed what'll happen ?) it goes same to USA (just if they're beaten by Holland - guess what would've happen) and so, it goes as the same to Messi and Argentina (hereafter, this squad is just filled by those whom hadn't the passion to play their country) Apologies for my harsh comments here, but that's the fact.

It's OK that Messi blamed the refree for favouring the opponent. But what about when Messi blamed the football pitch for the loss against columbia. For god sake all the 22 players were on the same pitch😂😂. It's not like Messi was on the different pitch. Messi should just stop making excuses now that higuin is not there to be blamed

Tite is saying the truth. Messi just needs to accept defeat. Because he lost, he wants to blame the entire country. Corruption, bad fields, and the "2 penalties". The first one was a freekick, and we all saw that. Barca fans really need to stop bullshit and should accept that Messi did an "oopsie" because it's really tearing his reputation down. Never thought a player could stoop dat low, and not even in my wildest and craziest dream would I have imagined it was the Lionel Messi.

well I was hoping this would happen and it did, Messi has always being a player that accepts defeat no matter the circumstances..we all saw what happened with the Brazil and Argentina game..I come here and see different comments about him and I'm like "wow are you serious or are you being sarcastic".i won't support what he did because his words are significant indeed but I feel the competition was badly organized and the referees fucked a bit of competition up..A Ronaldo fan said Messi deserves 5 years for what he said.We are entitled to our opinions but some people don't have opinions,they don't even have brains..

I have great respect for Messi especially for his calm nature and sophisticated demeanor... But I was disappointed by his comments on Argentina's elimination. I know it hurts but Messi should have rather directed that frustration towards Scaloni and his teammates who lacked patriotism

To start with this is not the entire post match comment made by Tite. In fact when you listen or have ready the entire comment of Tite you will wonder whether he is serious coach or not. This is not the first time Messi have played in the Copa America Competition of which it may be Messi last. Can anyone provide proof as to when Messi have condemned the officiating and the pitch of any international football competition as he did in the just ended Copa America. You will not find any because there is none. I have read the comments made by various Brazilian players concerning Messi comments. I just hope that next year when Argentina 🇦🇷 co host the competition with Colombia 🇨🇴 and the Brazil is been treated in like manner they will not complain.
