Not since 1996 have Juventus lifted the European Cup, but a busy summer has renewed optimism in Turin and they are determined to finally win the Champions League again.
Half a dozen new players have arrived this summer, most notably Cristiano Ronaldo, at a total cost of 221 million euros.
Some players have had to leave too, with Mattia Caldara and Gonzalo Higuain departing to allow for Leanardo Bonucci's return and with Gianluigi Buffon heading to Paris, but Juventus will feel that they are overall stronger and that they have what it takes to go all the way in Europe.
Here, we take a look at the players who have joined the club this summer and at what they can offer.
Cristiano Ronaldo
Without a doubt, the No.7 is the man this project is being built around and it was a massive achievement for Juventus to sign him from Real Madrid.
His goals and leadership can give the Bianconeri a new and deadly edge.
Joao Cancelo
The Portuguese player is Juventus' new right-back and he already has Serie A experience after spending last season on loan from Valencia at Inter.
He has become better at the defensive aspect of the game, while retaining his capacity to assist the attack.
Douglas Costa
The winger already spent last year on loan at Juventus and he has now signed on a permanent deal from Bayern Munich.
He was key in their Scudetto success of last season, which is why the club paid 40m euros for him.
Mattia Perin
He has arrived from Genoa to compete with Wojciech Szczsny for the starting goalkeeper job.
At 25 years of age, he has proven he is a reliable shot-stopper and brings in some depth at this position.
Emre Can
Having signed on a free transfer from Liverpool, Emre Can comes in to boost the midfield.
His talent and physicality can certainly help this team in the centre of the pitch.
Leonardo Bonucci
The most recent arrival might be one of the most important.
He knows the club, having been at Juventus from 2010 until his move to AC Milan last summer, and returns to make their back line even stronger.

I think the missing link here is the goalkeeper. You can have all the attack, midfield and Defenders but the last resort between a goal and no goal is a GK. I think that’s the weekest link for Juve here.

I agree with everything ACCEPT Emre Can. Marchisio should be there. He has been with the club since he was 8...He has massive experience in midfield , and the potential captain of the team. He can step up this season after the departure of Buffon. Can is good, don't get me wrong, but he is the future, Marcisio is now
