Hervé Renard's stirring half time speech which oversaw Saudi Arabia's revival against Argentina

Saudi Arabia coach Hervé Renar gave one of the most rousing half time talks ever witnessed on camera at the World Cup. After his team went into the break one-nil down against Argentina thanks to a Lionel Messi penalty, Renard conjured all his might to give them the motivational message they so needed after their lackluster first half.

"What are we doing? Is this our way of pressing? What do you want: to take a picture with Messi? You have to press him because he has the ball and you just stare at him. Messi has the ball and you all stand still, looking at him. You have to press him, push him, if you want a photo, take out your phones. But you have to give everything, this is the World Cup," said Renard. The translator made sure the manager's message was effectively transmitted, his words equally rousing.

His motivational speech clearly had the desired effect as his team went on to perform a historic come back defeating World Cup favorites Argentina 2-1 on the night.

Renard revealed he wasn't at all happy with him team's first 45 minutes. "At half-time I wasn't happy because we couldn't play the way we did in the first half," he said, before throwing Argentina a bone: "They're going to qualify, don't worry. What's more, they could be world champions"
