Hull City boss Jakirovic joked that the team could stop Chelsea by "kicking them."
The 49-year-old coach said Hull City will face a stern test against in-form Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.
At the press conference, Jakirovic was asked what special measures the promoted team would take to stop Chelsea, who have scored 8 goals in their first 3 Premier League matches.
The former Bosnia and Herzegovina coach quickly joked that Hull City could deliberately foul Chelsea players at Stamford Bridge. Jakirovic said, "Kick them."
Chelsea's strong attack was on display in Wednesday's League Cup match, where they defeated Leeds United 6-3. Chelsea have averaged 3.4 goals per game across all competitions this season.
Jakirovic then stated that Hull City would learn from the mistakes of Chelsea's previous opponents. He said, "If you use man-marking, you have no chance. It's simple, because they have the ability to dribble past one, two, or even three players in succession."
"We need to work together as a team. Chelsea are very strong, and it will be very difficult for us. It's a tough challenge, but also a great opportunity for us."
Hull City had an impressive start to the season after winning the Championship play-offs last year. The team remains unbeaten, sitting third in the league after 3 matches. Hull City defeated Manchester United in their opening match, beat Coventry in the second, before their winning streak ended with a 0-0 draw against Aston Villa on Saturday.
Despite Hull City being the only Premier League team yet to concede a goal this season, Chelsea are still considered strong favourites.
Before the match, Hull City received positive news regarding injured players, as John Egan, Paddy McNair, and Brooke Norton-Cuffy have all been cleared to play.

That's what has been happening already. Teams so far kick Chelsea players and mostly go unpunished. Example Gabriel kicking Martinez on the head. When Chelsea players react they get booked.
