Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels has stated that a trophy at the team has a greater value than one at any other German side.
The 30-year-old has returned to Dortmund following a three-season spell at reigning Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
"At Dortmund, titles are worth more than anywhere else," he told Kicker.
"I really enjoy this special atmosphere around the club, even at the stadium.
"I want to do what is expected of me: play well, take responsibility when things are not going well and [when] we are in difficult situations.
"I don't go to Dortmund to give a bad impression. I am not perfect."
Hummels moved to the Bavarian side in 2016, only to return to Dortmund this summer.

I mean this is the nicest way possible: please shut the fk up about what is or isn't worth at Dortmund.

I think he was specifically targeting Bayern with his words here, but he's said the same thing as the title before in another interview 5 years ago.

In Dortmund titles are more worth than SOMEwhere else, not anywhere. I think thats quiet a difference

I don’t understand why it matters that he has said it before ? He is not saying that titles mean more to him when he wins them with Dortmund—he is saying that they mean more in general (if the translation is accurate). That’s mostly about how much it means for the fans. The statement is just bland in its obviousness. I fail to see any of the lip-smacking people are reacting to.

He already said pretty much the same thing 5 year ago and still fucking left afterwards. I'm ready to accept him back in the club but I really don't care for those kind of statements from him anymore.
