Juan Bernat isn't concerned by Bayern München president Uli Hoeness' fierce criticism.
At an extraorinary press conference on Friday, Bayern München president Uli Hoeness launched a powerful attack on Juan Bernat, saying that the former Bayern player "almost single-handedly" made the Bavarians get knocked out of the Champions League last season.
Now, Bernat, who was sold to Paris Saint-Germain during the summer, has reacted to the criticism - and he doesn't seem bothered by Hoeness' harsh words.
"Yes, I've heard of it, but I have nothing to say about it. I was taught to be grateful as a child," Bernat said according to Bild and added:
"I will always be grateful to Bayern and the fans for the four years that I was allowed to spend there. I wish the Bavarians all the best and good luck. I have very good memories of my time there."
Bernat, 25, made 113 appearances for Bayern München with five goals and 10 assists to his name.

He was nowhere near good enough to replace Alex Sandro. He is worse than Rafinha at LB, even though Rafinha has been an RB throughout his career. Bernat absolutely messed up against Sevilla in the one important game he played in last season and has proved time and time again that he cannot play in the CL.

Bernat is useless for Bayern. If he's not good enough to be Bayern's back up LB then why would he be good enough to play for PSG?

He had quite a good first season, Barca match aside. Very consistent and reliable. Then in preseason last year he was fantastic - played as a left back and left winger and it was exciting because with Alaba so poor, it meant there would be a good sense of competition. Then Bernat got injured and never reached that level. Our second best left back after Alaba is a right back; Rafinha.

Hoeness was way out of place the whole time. But Bernat had more than one black out in that match. That being said, why publicly criticise him half a year later when he’s not even at the club anymore ?

Honestly, I thought Bernat was always sort of poor for Bayern. Even as a squad rotation player. Still petty to criticize any player that left on amicable terms
