Ian Wright believes the pressure could mount on Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino if he fails to get the Blues firing in their next two Premier League games.
The Argentine was appointed in the summer, with the hope of turning round Chelsea's fortunes after a disastrous campaign last season, but the Blues have won just one of their opening six games.
Their latest setback came on Sunday at Stamford Bridge in 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa, and the failure to find the net means Pochettino's men have scored just five goals so far this season.
Chelsea take on Brighton in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, but Wright says they have to take something from their following league fixtures when they take on Fulham and then Burnley.
'You look at those, a derby against Fulham and then Burnley, those are must-win games,' Wright stated on the latest episode of The Kelly and Wrighty Show with Kelly Cates. '
'You would worry for them [if they lose those].
'You look at Chelsea and you think something is going to have to give soon. I think it's the next two games. If they don't do it, you have to start worrying for Pochettino.'
Pochettino was heavily backed in the summer by owner Todd Boehly, as the American owner hit the £1billion barrier in transfer spending during his tenure by bringing in names such as Moises Caicedo, Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer.
However, the new boss has failed to find the right formula on the pitch since taking charge and the former England striker says you can't use that as an excuse - especially when you see what is happening across London with Spurs.
Wright added: 'I'm not sure if a new manager would come in and change it straight away but we have seen it with Ange Postecoglou.
In five or six games he's got a style that everyone understands and we can all see. When we look at Chelsea, we still don't even know what their best XI is.'
The west London side already find themselves nine points from the Premier League's top four, sitting in 14th spot in the Premier League. Their return of five points from their opening six games is the club's worst start since 1978.

With the massive overhaul of players this season it is going to take two to three seasons for Chelsea to start clicking again.

Ian your just happy 😊 but the day we beat arsenal you will l cry
Beating Arsenal will not add 20points to our points, that's not our standard for a season, that use to be arsenal's standard, beating Chelsea and finishing in the top 4 but right now they've upgraded. Wright is right, if Poch loses to fulham and Bunley his job will be on the line.

Chelsea is not playing badly anyway only that our young attackers are yet to mature in good poachers. However, did Chelsea buy all the players based on our style of play and how the players bought could fit in and contribute ? Or was it that the player is good so Chelsea must have him? Man City needed a winger and Doku was brought in because his play suits the style of Man City and he is up and kicking already. Kovacic was bought from Chelsea to replace Godogun. The Chelsea players are young anyway and though the results don't make us proud they will soon come good. It is pressure to please that is making them erratic in play and especially in front of goal. Chelsea did not expect to be in the top four the season because we have cleared out all the senior player -power players . My pain is Andrey Santos and Casadei sent out on loan. Especially Santos. He plays street football and a type of player who can handle packed defences but he is away and being displaced in the loan team. The Chelsea problem is our own making and Boehly and Co must allow the coach to select the players he wants than pushing players down his throat. Sterling is disappointing in front of goal and he must set good example. We must have defenders who are also good in air and can score from set pieces like Terry and Silver.

Chelsea are playing possession based ball, got chances but at the final Third, they become so selfish and destroy the hard work of others....see Sterling and Jackson, on the match against Aston Villa? Sterling is a real flop and very selfish with passes when it matters most...
