Iker Casillas was able to send a comforting message to his loved ones from hospital after having an operation.
The Porto goalkeeper suffered a suspected heart attack in training but is now in a stable condition and is out of danger.
"I'm fine," was the message he sent to those closest to him when he was able to use his phone in hospital.
There was an outpouring of support towards the former Real Madrid and Spain captain on social media once the news broke of the incident on Wednesday afternoon.
Real Madrid were among football clubs, players and sportspeople to send their best wishes to Casillas.
