Borussia Dortmund may have capitulated against Schalke overnight, but before the carnage came yet another moment of brilliance from rising star Jadon Sancho.
The Englishman has been a revelation this season in the Bundesliga, racking up assists at a remarkable pace as he propelled the title charge.
Overnight, he produced an incredible assist for Mario Gotze, with a deft chip setting up the opener after 14 minutes.
That piece of top quality service saw him edge ahead of Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi and Chelsea's Eden Hazard to lead Europe's top five leagues for assists.
According to Squawka, Sancho now boasts a whopping 14 in the Bundesliga this season, the most by any English player across the top tiers since Frank Lampard in 2009-10.
The English international also embarrassed a Schalke player with a filthy nutmeg, but his silky skills weren't enough as two red cards saw the German giants beaten 4-2 to all but hand the title to Bayern Munich.

Messi has created 33 big chances compared to Sancho's 12. Assists can be very misleading. Most of Sancho's assists are due to amazing finishing, while that's not the case for Messi. Still, Sancho is having an amazing season.
