FIFA president Gianni Infantino is speaking at UEFA Congress - and he has offered full support to the European governing body in the fight against the Super League proposals.
Infantino said: "We can only and strongly disapprove of a Super League which is a closed shop, breakaway from current institutions.
"No doubt whatsoever of FIFA's disapproval. Full support to UEFA."
"There is a lot to throw away for maybe a short-term financial gain of some. People need to think very carefully. They need to reflect and they need to assume responsibility."
"It is my task and our task to protect the European sports model, club competitions, national teams. If they choose to go their own way, they must live with their choice. They are either in or out. They cannot be half in and half out."

ESL and UEFA conflict basically is Money VS money. ESL is for the money by the club and to the club, while UEFA is for the money they get from clubs. So it's actually Autocracy vs democracy. Football has always been about money. If not, matchday tickets won't be bought. TV viewership would be free. We're customers and not supporters I stand with #ESL

After the interview with Perez, I support the SL, people who don’t, they don’t have common sense. Uefa and Fifa are only angry because they will lose money, not because they care about football, believe me! The super league will save the big teams with massive bills and will make the wishes of the fans come true, because all teams in it will be able to sign players with the money they get. This pandemic have destroyed all clubs, but it has affected big clubs a lot, because they have almost no income, but still have to pay big salaries to their superstars. Every club is in massive hole right now, that’s why every big club jumped into this project like it’s a life saving boat. Not because they are greedy, but because they need the bloody money to stop the clubs from falling apart. Barcelona is very close to the end and if this project don’t happen they will be finished, that’s why Laporta didn’t even think a second when he had the offer. Just imagine how many millions have been lost without the fans in the stadiums. UCL it’s beautiful competition, but Uefa is not giving the clubs enough money. they have their own money game and that’s why they want to stop this project. There is not much info about the SL yet, but as Perez says, it sounds good to me. It will be very much like the UCL, there will be the big clubs always in it, but every season there will be more clubs able to qualify for it from each top european league, so it’s not a closed competition for other teams.

people see the reason for money, but that's not the main reason. stories like this, these 12 clubs are not satisfied because fifa and uefa did not help them all during this pandemic. It's like there are 100 million funds, but you share 20 million with these 12 clubs, the last 80 million will be taken by FIFA. so these 12 clubs have been impressed and people have agreed to create their own league. so sponsors, broadcast rights, stadiums can all be direct, not from fifa. This is just a way to teach corrupt fifa management. All of you who are sad, not necessarily because but don't study the super league first. Think about it, not a club that has won a lot of UCLs, just want to throw people who have achievements, people must have run out of patience.

First of all super league is not about merit, it’s about money what these big club rightly deserve. They are badly hit by pandemic with no signs of this situation getting better any time soon. These clubs are loosing money everyday and it’s just few hundreds it’s in millions. Just imagine what would u do if we put you in the same situation to sustain your home, when an opportunity arise to make more money in a financial constrained times, you would jump onto it. The small clubs will still survive but the big clubs won’t. Barca, Madrid, juve man city all have record losses over the past year. Super league is a way to sustain all these big clubs that we love and cherish. If this doesn’t go ahead as proposed then soon there won’t be any big clubs because COVID-19 is here to stay.

most people dont value the lower clubs but that doesn't mean you can just write them off, all the clubs in all the leagues started somewhere, black burn and Newcastle used to be top tier teams but due to the nature of competition in the premier league they aren't as big as they used to be and esl will not give them a chance it's like telling the fans that from now on there would be only one league that everyone must watch if they want to see the best of football that's not right, I understand that barca and real madrid have been the cream of the crop in la Liga so they are bound to be arrogant but when you look at the premiere league spurs were a mid table team 10 years ago, Chelsea had not much to write home about and man city were just there, arsenal liverpool and man u were teams that have real history of being top club until arsenals recent fall out. the fact that the Big Six want to break away is madness because they seemed to have forgotten that it wasn't always them there was a time that they were also struggling so they should understand more than anyone why they should not be a part of this

There is nothing wrong with ESL in actual fact it is an upgrade to UCL but this time the bigger teams with most fans teams who generate more income for UCL by TV rights and sponsors will get more money ,their deserving money the money that Uefa is currently milking it out of these very same big clubs in the name of "fair sharing "🙄. The truth is nobody want to watch lyon parking the bus against Manchester united or FC Porto parking the bus against Juventus and Chelsea FC respectively and besides they don't have football stars that interest the eyes of fans. People are wondering why Chelsea FC is but Chelsea FC is a big club now the Chelsea FC project was started almost 2 decades ago. Nether I remind everyone Chelsea FC is the only English team with the most semi-finals of UCL appearances that's why is considered a big team it has been one of the last 4 best teams in Europe for so many years. Manchester city is there because of their owners. Manchester city is owned by one of the richest country rich in oil and so The ESL need money. Listen the Arabs have been wanting to pump money into European football recently but they're restricted by UK governing body with it's allies so now ESL will be a chance for the Asians to pump money unlimited and as much as they like without being " investigated " by the FA and Uefa. Uefa is a puppet of English FA and France Football so the Americans have had enough of it so they managed to find a way to bypass them into coming to an agreement with big clubs leading the movement is Florentino Perez who was selected because he's the President of the biggest club in the world. 1. Real Madrid is sponsored by Fly Emirates (Arabs) 2. Fc Barcelona still have Qatar Airways (Arabs) 3. Arsenal is sponsored by Fly Emirates (Arabs) and has American owners 4. Liverpool has got Americans owners 5. Manchester united is sponsored by and owned by Americans 6. Chelsea FC is owned by Russian, a business man 7. AC Milan is owned by the Americans 8. Inter Milan is owned by the Chinese 9. Juventus is owned by Italians and sponsored by Italians but they're financially struggling so they'll be more than welcoming any more money 10. we all know Atletico Madrid needs money 11. Tottenham is funded by the Americans and we all know they just took massive loans and financial blow so they're in need of money 12. Manchester city is owned by Arabs who controls majority of all big teams and thyre bring money into ESL so it has to be there.

Do you guys remember when nations league was created, players were complaining about fatigue that there will be many matches to be played and lots of injuries, but uefa and fifa doesn’t care they created it anyway and thats what has coursed alot of injuries to the players. Uefa and fifa doesn’t care about anything they just want to get money. Can you imagine during this pandemic clubs lost alot of revenue and are diving in debts but still Ucl price is so small (120mil) fgs 🤦🏻♂️ the money can’t even buy Mbappe Uefa and fifa should have increased the winning prices of domestic leagues, ucl and uel so that the clubs will atleast get money to balance their debts Uefa and fifa should work together with these big clubs to find solutions to this problem because if they ban these big clubs they will not benefit from it either Both parties will lose

If Super league organizers really want to facilitate the financial part of football due to Clovis 19 pandemic they would have collaborated with UEFA and FIFA then make it any CL teams that made it out of group stage will earn a certain amount of money, likewise round 16, quarter final, semi final and final. We all known this Covid 19 epidemic affected the economy of some top clubs but this another body of football that condemns UCL and EUROPA will definitely flatten the likes of football. Some top clubs have good histories about Champions League and it has been in existence since over 30 years ago and CL is based on a team effort and quality not by merit. Football is absolutely uninteresting when there is no competition. Some clubs like West Ham, Leicester City and Everton have added some quality players in their teams battling to play Champions League next season and the Two out of the three are in better place to play CL then you are planning to deny them their rights. Look at Arsenal a mid table team was announced to participate in super league by merit while some good teams are there who are way better than Arsenal. This is absolutely disgusting.

The arrogance of eufa chief is laughable. fifa calling respective governments to intervene is equally laughable. the same organisation that threaten countries that intervene in the running of soccer is now finding them important. my views on this project is that the side that takes or goes with these big teams has an upper hand in this. even if they threaten to ban every player from participating in the world cup and all fifa tornaments . who would want to watch the world cup without most of those players that will end up banned? fifa and eufa has another thinking to do. my advice is that they should engage with this breakaway teams and listen to what and why they have opted this way. I don't see these teams failing to get any player from those who will remain outside this super league with the amount of money being pumped by JP Morgan. remember, this up coming league has not even come up with rules and regulations on several aspects including fair play and all those other rules on how much teams should be spending. so they have an upper hand in lot more other things and all the best players may end in this league. if this happens then what will be eufa for or even the world cup in as far as fans are concerned?

EUROPEAN SUPER LEAGUE RIGHTS: 1. Clubs fund clubs, there is no autonomous 3rd party to steal the the money made by selling the hardwork of clubs and players. 2. Mini League format of the competition will provide more top class matches that will bring tight competition between the clubs. 3. Fixed ticket charges for every game in each season, so clubs or committees cannot alter the ticket price to launder fans. 4. Even distribution of the profits among participating clubs, providing good infrastructural development to even smaller clubs. WRONGS: 1. The self-proclaimed 12 plus secret 3 clubs won’t have to ever work their way to earn a spot in this elite league. So there won’t be competition from 2-16th positions in corresponding domestic leagues. 2. Only 5 teams will be allowed to join the Self proclaimed elite 15, that will affect the growth of several small clubs even when they perform majestically in respective leagues. So rich clubs will become richer and smaller clubs will become smaller. 3. Football world will start to miss the David vs Goliath massive games, due to lack of inclusion of smaller teams. 4. The ESL teams who have lesser chances of winning domestic league will use inferior lineup in their respective leagues, making the games bore some. ESL is planning to uproot UCL system to bring more transparency among the financial system putting an end to the Monopoly of UEFA. At the same time they are trying to bring a new system which make them Autonomous aristocrats. For me UEFA should be screwed and UCL system should be maintained. Best of both. I am against Super League’s methods of avoiding promotion and demotion, but I support Super league’s transparency in Financial dealings. I am just a fan. All I can do is comment on social media.

And whose fault is it that the big clubs are in debt? Financial fair play was created to ensure that clubs spend within their means. But your useless club and Real Madrid went about collecting loans for years to sign players for exorbitant idiotic fees while paying them silly wages, thinking they would make the money back. Only for COVID-19 to strike and make their idiocy costly. Now they are looking for a way to cover up years of mismanagement and we should be feeling sorry for them? Meanwhile clubs like Leicester City, Ajax, Bayern, Atalanta etc maintained financially sustainable models of operation by spending within their means and still managed to perform well on the pitch. But hey, let's ignore them. Football was created for only Madrid and Barca to profit. Dude, do us a favour and shut up if you have nothing reasonable to contribute.

A wise man once said that acting like not being racist is worse than actually being racist. Same thing applies here. Some of you "football fans" are worried about the so called smaller clubs, but do you actually realise that these are some of the clubs which you didn't really care about?? When was the last time some of you talked about clubs like Burnley or Brighton? I reckon everyone of you considered some of these clubs IRRELEVANT before all this ESL stuff happened. And let's be real here some of these clubs would still be irrelevant if y'all didn't spill out your "once in a lifetime opinions". For instance, half of West Ham's hype this season has come from Lingard. Imagine Grealish left Villa this season, who would be talking about them now? What about Sheffield United who were once in contention to make Europe last season and now get relegated? Does anyone talk about their amazing run last season anymore? The best part is that no one actually trolls some of these clubs when they falter. When we lose, people start trolling us. When Barça lost 8-2 last season, people spammed the comment section with memes. It's fun and easy to make fun of big clubs, but what about the smaller clubs? You can say that all clubs are equal, everyone deserves to compete, but for a moment, step into reality and admit that you are talking stuff that you didn't really think about ever in your life. Mind it.

its not only for big teams, other teams will get a stop in the competition as well, but they need to finish under the top teams to get in, it’s the same as the UCL, it’s been made clear that no other teams will be left out, everyone can qualify. at the end, we are just fans, we can’t decide whats in best interest for these clubs, they all agreed to join, so they must he happy with the conditions. we the fans demand every season new great players, but the money don’t grow on trees. they need more money if they have to bring all great players, when it’s all completed, everyone will change their mind, I think it’s gonna be very good competition.
Idiot, when next you feel the need to express an opinion, be sure to research properly before coming here to spread your ignorance all over the place! 15 pioneer clubs are guaranteed spots in the SL regardless of how poorly they perform. How exactly does that make sense in that empty skull of yours! Simply say you have chosen to be a Perez controlled zombie and keep your nonsense diatribe to yourself. Common sense my foot!

Has super hinder the uefa and fifa not to continue their work and competition... First and formost we all know football is for the poor but nowadays its never for thr poor anymore bcus u only see what u can see but here in so many countries I've been to do a text none of this clubs has rejected me for the way u play. They all see thr talent in me and knows I can play good football but they never signed me and up until now I haven't got a club or team to play for even tho I played with Nigerian under 17. What do u think makes them not to sign me when they all praise me for my footballing talent? I've been to Ghana, Senegal, ivory Coast and Nigeria but still not even a club has manage to say u not good enough but acknowledge how good I'm. U see the players like de brunye, pogba, cr7, messi, mbape, neylmar, kroos, Bruno etc they all earn big pay package which even the doctors, bankers, ministers, president, pilots, military, a police, etc don't even come close in terms of what u those players earn. Worst of it if their contract coming to close end and the club still want their services those players demand more bigger contract and packages. We should be understanding now that football is not just a game but a very big business in the world which needs billions to be able to run ur club as u want if u want if u want to compete at thr highest level. In the other case what is the UEFA AND FIFA ROLE exactly? Are they also financing in thr budgets of the clubs? What do they bring to the table exactly? Yes we all know the smaller clubs are where big clubs get the players from but it has not stop those smaller clubs to continue on their part which is what pleases them. Why do u think dormund Leipzig Francfort salzburg rennes Monaco lyon Westham Leicester etc sell the best players to big clubs in the top 5 leagues in the world? Why players around their 30s still wnay big package of pay? Why players around 16,17,18 etc looking for big agent to make them play for big clubs and earn big pay? Football is business and we need to accept it and thr EUROPEAN SUPPER LEAGUE is only the gains of those big clubs paying those big pay to the players coach and all the workers in the club. As a businessman or businesswoman u will alwyas look to profit more which is what those players are doing but I don't know why u all blaming thr clubs to go along with their plans.. Uefa and fifa only gaining what those clubs brings forth and what is their effort to earn all that? Are u telling u have u business and sum1 else tells u how to handle it or run it is the way bcus thsts what fifa and uefa are doing and earning money from. The only bad effect I see here is the players who will he run out by playing much more football matches than they already used to but as for me if they uefa and fifa can come together and let Europen supper league take place it would be nice bcus then we all know ehsid really the very best among the best. Have u thought if having to watch Manchester United vs Real Madrid or Juventus vs Barcelona every mid-week? I'm all in for the European supper league to take place and I'm very sure those players woukd gladly welcome it too

the UEFA and the ESL both want money ...we as fans ...we never have anything to do with money...we fans love football and what it stands for .we love the competition , the parity the equity in the game ,the miracles like Porto and Leicester . football isn't about 12 clubs culminating for business. it's about the pyramid which stays with and supports communities . fans who only supported stardom , supported a team for a single players and are moved by the hype created by fake PR will want the ESL .on the contrary fans who know why the clock at old Trafford stands still till date and why Milan retired their no.3 shirt will never accept this. if you want money , earn it or start begging . don't sell somebody's livelihood for your own disparities.
