Barcelona will not play another Champions League game this season and Andres Iniesta admitted that he might not play another one in his career.
The 3-0 defeat at the hands of Roma means there won't be a happy ending in Kiev for Iniesta if he does decide to leave Barcelona at the end of this season.
"[That this was my last Champions League game] is a possibility and for that reason it hurts even more," he said when asked if he thought he'd play in the competition again.
"It's a very hurtful elimination because nobody expected it due to the lead we had.
"When you do things badly, make lots of mistakes and don't adapt to the game, this is what happens.
"It's a big disappointment because of the season we were having."
Discussing what it was that Roma did so well, Iniesta admitted that they targeted the right areas.
"They had it very clear in their minds where to attack us," he said.
"It's difficult to take this elimination because we had a lot of hope and it has escaped."
Barcelona now turn their focus back to LaLiga, where they host Valencia this weekend.

Iniesta probably played the worst game of his life, it's sad to see him leave as a Barca supporter, but I'm sure, he himself has realised that his pedigree of performance has gone down, & he's no where close to being where he was, though we always see a sight of his brilliance, but it's always inconsistent, you'll always be in our heart, we love you, for what you have contributed to Barca all throughout. One of the very best Midfielders of all time.

Iniesta, while having a huge offer from a Chinese 🇨🇳 football team, needs to go when he is ready, only Iniesta himself can call a halt to his Barcelona adventure. He has given so much of himself to Spanish football and Barcelona FC. His type of magic is irreplaceable and when he leaves a lot of magic will leave with him.💫

bravo FC Barcelona please have faith that this is where God almighty decided that you will stop at this level in this competition, that's doesn't mean the end of Fc Barcelona. Gomez is not the type of players barca need, especially at that crucial moment, substitutes Inesta for someone who can add more weight on to the team's performance since we were 2 goals down. In fact I don't know why Gomez is been given more play time than a bunch of very good barca players and he still can't make a positive impact and you still use him.
