Andres Iniesta's goal in the 2010 World Cup final was the most important in his life, but his decider in Barcelona's Champions League game against Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge in 2009 was a moment of magic.
In his upcoming documentary, Andres Iniesta - El heroe inesperado, Samuel Eto'o remembers the moment he received the ball in the build-up for the goal.
"At that moment I said 'the ball falls to me, I control it, I turn, and I shoot'," Eto'o recalled.
"It's what I wanted to do, but when the control failed, the ball went to [Lionel] Messi."
The Argentine received the ball inside the box and sent it out to Iniesta whose first time effort ended in the back of the net.
"I scored a goal that put me on the map," noted Iniesta. "The feeling we had was that the game was over.
"That is why the body pushed me to go up to try to score and help us win the tie."
Xavi Hernandez hailed Iniesta's strike and made clear that there was no other way to beat Petr Cech.
"He scored a wonderful goal," Xavi said. "It could only go in through there.
"[We felt that] they were going to make it 2-0, because they could have been awarded a penalty.
"We have to be honest."
The erstwhile Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola added that what happened was meant to happen.
"It's a matter of karma," Guardiola noted. "It always leaves good things for good people."
Cech also recalled his reaction when Iniesta received the ball from Messi.
"When I saw the ball going to him, I thought he was going to control it, but as soon as he hit it, I felt it was unstoppable," Cech said.
"I didn't get there by a few centimetres.
"Now, every time Chelsea play against Barcelona, they put this goal on TV and I am just as sad as at the time."
