Federico Chiesa could sign a contract extension with Fiorentina which includes a €100 million release fee clause according to a report in today's print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
Chiesa has long been linked with a move away from the club with Inter and Juventus both long term admirers of him but a contract extension with La Viola cannot be ruled out.
Whilst a transfer away from the club or a long term contract extension initially appeared the only options for Chiesa, a one year contract extension could well be signed.
As per the Milan based newspaper's report, a one year extension without a release clause could be signed or one with a €100 million release clause could be signed.
Chiesa, who is already under contract with the Florence based club until the end of the 2021/22 season, has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has scored seven goals and provided five assists.
