Inter Milan jump ahead of Barcelona in Cancelo battle

Cancelo is ready to leave Al Hilal this month and has been in talks with former clubs Inter, Barca and Juventus.

Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà is reporting Inter are already negotiating a loan deal for the fullback. The Italian giants previously had Cancelo on the books after his time at Valencia and before his move to Juventus .

Inter intend to pay 50 per cent of his salary. The Portugal international earns €15m-a-season; having played half the season, he is still due €7.5mn, of which €3.75m would come from Inter Milan, with the remainder to be covered by the Saudi club.

Cancelo arrived in Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2025 after Al Hilal paid Manchester City €25 million. He is under contract until 2027
