Inter Milan make Calhanoglu summer sale decision

Inter Milan will not consider offers for Hakan Calhanoglu this summer.

The Turkey midfielder was inspirational as he scored twice to help Inter come from 2-0 down to win the Coppa Italia semifinal against Como 3-2 this week and reach the final by the same aggregate scoreline.

La Gazzetta dello Sport says Calhanoglu is an indispensable player, even though he is 32 years old and his contract is about to expire.

And since Cristian Chivu considers him irreplaceable in midfield—of course—his wish will be granted. Calhanoglu already decided last year to stay in Italy, despite Galatasaray's declared interest and the summer tensions with Lautaro Martinez.

Talks about a new contract—his current one, worth €6.5 million net, expires on June 30, 2027—haven't even begun. But the matter will be addressed at the end of the transfer window, unless something happens in the meantime to change the situation.

To be clear, Calhanoglu is much closer to Inter now than he was in 2025, when discontent with the dressing room situation (rather than homesickness, which wasn't a problem) was pushing him towards leaving.
