I think the WCC may nerd to be reviewed otherwise if will lose its appeal. You have to pity the players in particular the European league which remains the strongest and most competitive league. There are three European cups, then the local cup competitions not to talk of the country specific leagues. Then mix that with the other international competitions - regional, continental and world cup duties. Where is the rest?
It is normal for players to drop off the intensity because they're flesh and blood like all of us. Even machines need servicing and maintenance which underscores rest.
Perhaps the time has come for the authorities and all stakeholders to sit down and sincerely review the WCC.
