Inter Milan want to negotiate for Rafinha Alcantara

Barcelona and Inter Milan arrived at a deal last winter for Rafinha Alcantara's loan, with an obligatory option of buying him for 35m euros if they got in to the Champions League.

They managed it but Inter now don't want to pay the fee. The Italian side want to sit down with Barca and offer alternatives to paying 35m euros.

They could put on the table various options. Making another year's loan (Rafinha has a contract until 2020 with Barca), or offering a player or an option to buy on any of their players.

Inter's sporting director Piero Ausilio made clear the club's position on radio Anchlo Lo Sport. "Now we will make the necessary economic evaluations. The Champions League gives us a hand but doesn't solve the problem. We will try to reach our financial objectives with the hope of keeping these boys (Rafinha, Joel Cancelo). It's not easy but we will try to find solutions until the end."
