According to Iran's Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), the Iranian national team has traveled to Turkey for their final warm-up match before the World Cup.

It is reported that the Iranian national team, comprising 22 players and coaching staff, departed for Antalya, Turkey, early Monday morning for their last warm-up match before heading to the US for the 2026 World Cup.

Regarding the team's preparations before their training camp in Turkey, Iran men's national football team head coach Amir Ghalenoei stated: "We remember the Minab 168 incident (the tragedy where an Iranian primary school was hit by US-Israeli coalition missile airstrikes, killing 168 children)."

Previously on Sunday, after positive and constructive talks between the Iranian Football Federation and FIFA, FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström stated that FIFA is very much looking forward to Iran's participation in the 2026 World Cup.

Iran has qualified for the World Cup finals for the fourth consecutive time. The team will play New Zealand, Belgium, and Egypt next month in the United States, and has also decided to set up its World Cup training camp in Tucson, Arizona, USA.
