Liverpool are preparing to see Alexander Isak sidelined for a significant amount of time after their blockbuster summer striker was injured against Tottenham - but the Sweden international is not thought to have suffered an ACL injury.
Isak is set to undergo further scans in a bid to assess the injury fully, but the lower leg injury is thought be set to keep Isak from action for some time.
Since his £125million move from Newcastle this summer, Isak's time at Anfield has been blighted by injuries that have seen him unable to find his best form at his new club.
Brought on as a half-time substitute for team-mate Conor Bradley, the 26-year-old was injured by a challenge from Micky van de Ven in the process of shooting to open the scoring.
Isak then stayed down after landing awkwardly, and was tended to on the pitch by Liverpool's physios.
The striker eventually had to be helped off the pitch, limping as he made his way down the tunnel.
