Italy team manager Gigi Buffon urged calm after their World Cup playoff failure in Bosnia.
The Azzurri were beaten on penalties to miss a third consecutive World Cup.
Asked about his position, Juventus legend Buffon said afterwards: "It's a delicate moment, and we need to take our time—the necessary time—to make the right assessments.
"The season ends in June, and until then, it's right and proper to remain available to the Federation, the president, and those who have placed their trust in me. If you've noticed something is improving, we're pleased, but the biggest goal was to reach the World Cup.
"Right now, that's what's hurting and risks making our thinking distorted and unclear. I'll stop here; we're here until June, and then we'll see how the situation unravels for the other assessments." -
