Jadon Sancho has been searching for a new club the entire summer after being frozen out at Manchester United but has been unable to secure an exit, with the player showing little interest in a move to Roma
Manchester United misfit Jadon Sancho is being urged to accept a move to Roma because there are "no other offers on the table", according to reports from Italy.
Sancho has been frozen out by manager Ruben Amorim and spent last season on loan with Chelsea, though the move was relatively unsuccessful and the club paid a £5million penalty fee to send him back to Old Trafford.
Sancho has been part of Amorim's "Bomb Squad" of unwanted players at Old Trafford this summer, alongside Antony, Tyrell Malacia and Marcus Rashford - who has since sealed a loan move to Barcelona.
But despite a concerted effort to find a new club, interest from sides like Borussia Dortmund and Juventus has failed to materialise, leaving Sancho in no man's land.
Sancho has received interest from Roma in recent weeks, though talks have stalled amid reports that the England winger is not interested in switching to the Italian capital.
However, Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claims Sancho has not officially turned them down but adds the player has "hesitations" over the move - which is "tormenting" the Serie A club.
It adds that United chief Jason Wilcox is "desperate" to clear Sancho off their wage bill given that he earns around £250,000-a-week at Old Trafford, with the club agreeing a transfer of £15m around a month ago.
Sancho has reportedly been asked to make his mind up on a Roma move by Wednesday before the club move on to other targets. Currently, there are no other clubs weighing up a bid to sign the ex-Borussia Dortmund star.
Roma boss Gian Piero Gasperini insisted after his side's win over Bologna this weekend that Sancho had not rejected them.
"Sancho never said no to Roma,' he said. There are eight days left. This is a good team, anyway. As I said before, there's no end to the worst and the best."
But the club's director of football has shown his frustration over the lack of progress in talks, accusing Sancho of lacking "motivation" to join the club.
He told SportMediaSet: "Sancho is a strong player, who was linked with all the Italian clubs.
"At the moment, it is only a suggestion, because it doesn't seem as if there are the right conditions and above all, the motivation to carry on these negotiations."

Roma has said they don’t want any player who doesn’t want to play for the club or who takes them as option. I think they should call on Turkey clubs 😩😩
