Atletico & Napoli target James Rodriguez has resumed training with Real Madrid after 787 days.
James looked to be all set for Napoli, but their reluctance to pay €42m for a permanent deal let in Atletico Madrid.
However, Marco Asensio’s serious knee injury has threatened to put the brakes on a transfer for the Colombian.
The 28-year-old has since been working with Los Blancos’ first team at their training ground, although it remains to be seen whether he will be called up for their Audi Cup clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday.
