Atletico Madrid have confirmed the extent of Joao Felix's ankle knock that forced him off in the 80th minute of Los Rojiblancos' 1-1 home draw with Valencia on Saturday afternoon.

The Portuguese forward is set to miss between two and three weeks with a grade II right ankle sprain.

Joao Felix was injured in after shooting at the Valencia goal, while Atleti had already made all three substitutions and therefore had to play the final 10 minutes with 10 men.

As such, the 19-year-old will miss the LaLiga Santander fixtures against Athletic Club, Alaves and Sevilla, as well as the Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen.

Depending on how he recovers from this injury, Joao Felix will be looking to return against Leverkusen in Germany on November 6, or against Espanyol in LaLiga Santander four days later.
