Joao Neves: I love working with Luis Enrique, Everyone loves him

João Neves gave a post-match interview after Paris Saint-Germain beat Arsenal to win the Champions League.

You did it again.

Thank you very much. Yes, we did it. I'm really proud of this team and everything we've accomplished. I think we played very well. Considering everything we've been through and our performance throughout the Champions League season, I think we deserve this victory.

How tense were you during the penalty shootout?

It was indeed very tense. But I think we did very, very well. In a penalty shootout, it's about belief, trust in the team, and trust in the goalkeeper. I believe every team has that belief, but in the end, we were the ones who deserved to win more.

What do you think of the match? You had a nightmare start, but then you pulled yourselves back into the game.

The match was very difficult. But I think we stuck to our game plan from the start. We had 72% possession, and I think that showed everyone, all the fans, who wanted to win more. In the end, I think this victory is well-deserved.

You've been very strong all season, what does this mean to you?

It's truly amazing. I've been here since the beginning of 2024, and for me, I couldn't ask for more.

What does Luis Enrique mean to you?

He is an incredible coach. I really enjoy working with him, and everyone likes him too. I think his playing style is showing everyone what football is about and what we want to express.
