Jovic is fed up at Real Madrid... and there is interest from European clubs

The story of Luka Jovic at Real Madrid seems doomed to reach an unsuccessful end, as the Serbian striker is not part of Carlo Ancelotti's plans, even though he wanted to sign him once at Napoli. Both Jovic and the club are aware that the former Eintracht Frankfurt forward will depart Los Blancos in the summer and they are waiting to find a formula to part ways.

Several potential suitors have inquired about Jovic's situation since January, but no negotiations have been held with any club.

Arsenal and Everton expressed their interest in Jovic back in January, while AC Milan have emerged as a potential suitor too, with Borussia Dortmund also monitoring his situation. However, the Bundesliga side's primary target, in the event Erling Haaland departs the club, is RB Salzburg's Karim Adeyemi.

Signed in 2019 in exchange for 60 million euros, Jovic's contract runs until 2025, which means that the pending amortisation makes a potential departure seem difficult. Finding a club to sell Jovic to does not seem to be an easy task, so Real Madrid have not ruled out loaning him out again. This time, though, Los Blancos are willing to include a purchase clause in the deal, with Transfermarkt currently valuing him at 20m euros.

A 'like' against Ancelotti

Since joining Real Madrid, Jovic has played just 1,487 minutes across 49 games, scoring only three goals and producing four assists.

As many as 18 Real Madrid players have enjoyed more playing time than Jovic this season, with the Serbian striker having played just 473 minutes in 2021/22 and the last time he was on the pitch being back on February 12.

On Monday night, Jovic liked an Instagram picture posted by Serbian media outlet Buta Sport, showing him, Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard training. The post was captioned with a thinking face emoji.
