Jude Bellingham is set to star for Real Madrid at the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup tournament and he could yet face his brother, Jobe, if he completes a move to a new club
Jobe Bellingham has decided to pursue a summer switch to Borussia Dortmund in a move which is likely to see him come up against his brother, Jude Bellingham, in the Club World Cup.
Bellingham, 19, is expected to leave Sunderland this summer despite helping the Black Cats earn promotion to the Premier League last month. And the former Birmingham City midfielder has had no shortage of offers from interested clubs, particularly in Germany.
Talks between Bellingham and Eintracht Frankfurt became public knowledge last week - but the teenager is poised to join one of their Bundesliga rivals.
Multiple outlets have now confirmed that Borussia Dortmund are now in advanced talks with Sunderland over a deal for the England Under-21 star, who has effectively 'said yes' to a switch which could cost the German outfit around £25million.
Provided a deal can now be agreed between the two clubs it means Bellingham will follow in the footsteps of his older brother, who rose to prominence during his three year stay at Dortmund.
And with Borussia Dortmund set to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup later this month, there is also the chance that the two brothers will play against each other with Real Madrid also among the 32 teams who will participate in the tournament.
Mirror Football outlined earlier this week that Dortmund had not centred their pitch around Bellingham's superstar sibling as they believe the midfielder is more than capable of forging his own legacy at the club.
They are, in fact, so enamoured with Bellingham Jr that they are even willing to blow the majority of their limited budget on getting a deal done to bring him to Signal Iduna Park.

Losing Bellingham's services will come as a huge blow to Sunderland, who are preparing to return to the Premier League after an eight-year absence.
The midfield maestro was a pivotal figure in the youthful team that has been constructed by the club's powerbrokers and steered to success by the astute Regis Le Bris.
The Black Cats will also be without the services of Tommy Watson, their matchwinner in the Championship play-off final. Watson, 19, agreed to sign for Brighton in the spring before seeing the season out on loan but will start the 2025-26 campaign as a Seagulls player.
