Barcelona defender Jules Kounde has once again spoken out in opposition to Marine Le Pen’s far right National Rally.
The La Blaugrana full back called on French people to vote in today’s second round of parliamentary elections alongside several of his Les Bleus teammates.
The France squad have been praised for the openness towards the political situation in the country whilst on Euro 2024 duty.
Captain Kylian Mbappe and his new Real Madrid teammate Aurelien Tchouameni echoed Kounde’s comments with Le Pen publicly criticising Mbappe’s stance.
However, the impact has had the desire effect for Kounde and Co, with early exit polls indicating Le Pen’s party will finish third in the final tallies.
Current president Emmanuel Macron and his centrist alliance Ensemble are tipped for second, with Jean-Luc Melenchon’s left-wing New Popular Front first, but without a majority.
As news broke of Le Pen being held off, Kounde and Tchouameni have taken to social media, to express their delight at the expected result.

Yeah the world needs parties that unite mankind and not divide them
There are no political parties which want to unite people,it’s always them and us for political parties as divide and rule is the main rule of politics. Same as organized religion.

The politicians are all the same as France is still trying to exploit the African country it had formerly colonized. These African French players should also start talking about that…

thank goodness that these men were able to see that a far right victory would not be in the interest of a democratic France, nor good for people of colour and progressive thought.
