Jurgen Klopp and Luis Enrique agree on David Raya amid Arsenal transfer links

Reported Arsenal transfer target David Raya has previously received considerable praise from the likes of Luis Enrique and Jurgen Klopp

Arsenal have identified Brentford goalkeeper David Raya as a potential signing for the summer transfer window, according to The Athletic.

Still, if previous comments from Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp are anything to go by, the Spanish international would be an excellent signing for the Gunners. After Raya starred during a 3-3 draw against Klopp's side back in September 2021, the German heaped praise on the player's distribution ability.

“The goalkeeper could have the shirt with No 10,” the Reds boss said. “He played a few incredible balls but it was the right thing to do against us today.”

Klopp isn't the only big-name to voice their admiration for Raya either. In fact, now-Paris Saint-Germain boss Luis Enrique previously hailed the former Blackburn shot-stopper after calling him up to the Spain national team during his time as their head coach.

"It is part of the tracing we do with the goalkeepers," Enrique said last year, via Sportsmole. "He is a player who is doing very well.

"I really want to see it in the context of the selection. He has the necessary profile to play with us."
