Juventus are 'set to make a move for Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku' as the Italian giants plot a raid on Old Trafford.
The Serie A league leaders are on the hunt for forwards to take over from players like 32-year-old Mario Mandzukic, according to CalcioMercato.
Belgian striker Lukaku has scored six goals in 22 appearances for United so far in this campaign.
The 25-year-old, who missed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first win as United boss on Saturday due to compassionate leave, is not the only United player on the Italian club's radar.
Sportsmail reported last week that Paul Pogba's agent Mino Raiola held talks with Juventus but United do not wish to sell him.
Raiola is understood to have discussed a number of his clients with the Italian champions, who hold an interest in re-signing the midfielder they sold to United for Β£89million back in 2016.
Juventus were also one of a host of clubs interested in signing Anthony Martial last season.
In addition, United full back Matteo Darmian was also of interest to the Serie A outfit last campaign as talks over a possible switch took place in May.
Juventus are currently eight points clear at the top of the Italian top flight, having maintained an unbeaten start.

π₯ Juventus set to make move for Man United striker Lukaku πππ Me: if that the move Juventus want to make than Manchester United should only accept a trade deal for Douglas costa and Lukaku plus Lakuka is younger and I think that deal would be a nice trade deal because Juventus rejected Manchester United β¬60m bet for Douglas costa!

Maybe it's a language barrier thing (making the assumption that you're Italian), but I think it's pretty clear that they meant that the fact that Lukaku won't be available for selection is what will cause Solskjaer to have a headache (because he'll be without one of his best players). There's no suggestion that Lukaku has done anything wrong.

Lukaku is the best striker,if you let him go at JJ, you will prove it.You people have forgotten that this season almost every player has not been in the best form, but trust me under new manager, new tactics, new motivation and psychological set up,surely Man U players including my all time performer Lukaku will be best.
