Juventus interested in Nmecha, but Dortmund won’t let him go

In mid-September, Dortmund delivered a spectacular performance against Juventus Turin. A 4-4 draw after 90 minutes – a truly incredible match. Felix Nmecha (25) scored to give Dortmund a temporary 2-1 lead and delivered a superb performance. This has clearly stuck in the minds of the Italians.

As reported by the Italian football portal "calciamercato.it," the "Old Lady" is determined to sign Dortmund's midfield star to stabilize their team. Following the coaching change from Igor Tudor to Luciano Spalletti, Nmecha is on the club's wish list.

However, should Juve be serious about signing him, they would have to dig deep into their pockets. According to BILD, the German international will cost over €50 million. However, the Ruhr club is not currently interested in letting Nmecha (market value €35 million) go.

BVB boss Lars Ricken (49) recently said in a SportBild interview: "Felix is part of our very stable spine. Given his age and the length of his contract, he's one of the players who will be very important for us in the coming years. You can see how important he already is for us – and hopefully, his time with us is far from over."

The fact is: Since his move from Wolfsburg to BVB in 2023, Dortmund's midfield dynamo (contract until 2028) has matured into a leader after some initial difficulties. Alongside his partner Marcel Sabitzer, he stabilizes the game in Dortmund's engine room and is virtually indispensable in the center of the pitch. His greatest strength, by the way, is his goal-scoring prowess.

He's BVB's top scorer in the Champions League, having already netted three times. Most recently, he shone with a brace in Copenhagen. This hasn't gone unnoticed by the Dortmund management, of course. Juve would have to put a considerable sum on the table for the club to even consider signing him.
