Lennart Karl said Bayern Munich "feel unbeatable at the moment" after their dramatic victory over Freiburg on Saturday.

After going 2-0 down at Europa-Park Stadion, Bayern completed a stunning turnaround in the 99th minute as Karl was on hand to turn in from Alphonso Davies' low cross.

Tom Bischof got the comeback started, scoring in the 81st and 92nd minutes as Bayern extended their lead at the Bundesliga summit to 12 points, ahead of Borussia Dortmund's trip to Stuttgart later on Saturday.

Bayern hit the 100‑goal mark in their 28th Bundesliga match of the season, the earliest any side has ever reached the milestone.

They also became just the third team in Bundesliga history to overturn a two‑goal deficit after the 80th minute and still win.

Bayern's next test comes against Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals, with Vincent Kompany's side taking on Los Blancos in the first leg on Tuesday.

Karl believes the nature of their victory over Freiburg was important ahead of their trip to Madrid, having predicted he would get on the scoresheet on Saturday.

“We spoke about that in the dressing room. It gives us a lot of confidence. It was very important. We actually feel unbeatable at the moment," Karl told DAZN.

“I'm very happy. It's an unbelievable feeling. I've always had it in my mind to score a late winner and take off my shirt.

“Thankfully it worked out, an incredible feeling. I had a bit of a feeling that I was going to score today. It happened and it was perfect."
