Key testimony of cousin of Alves' victim: She told me that he had hurt her a lot

Dani Alves has been remanded in custody since January and his case is becoming increasingly complicated.

The former Brazilian footballer is accused of the alleged rape of a young woman, which took place on the night of 30-31 December last year at the Sutton nightclub in Barcelona.

Since then, both Alves and the alleged victim have testified on more than one occasion.

After the last statements of the young woman, which were collected and broadcast by the program 'En boca de todos', on Cuatro, now the testimony of her cousin has come to light.

She wanted to explain how the alleged victim felt. It should be remembered that, while awaiting trial, Dani Alves has been behind bars for four months now and the judge in the case has rejected his request for bail on more than one occasion.

The cousin of the complainant assures that the young woman was afraid to report the assault.

The cousin of the alleged victim, who has provided important information for the investigation, was with the young woman that night and details what happened after the alleged rape in the bathrooms of the Catalan nightclub.

"They were dancing. She told me that he was insisting on leaving, that she said where and that he didn't respond. My cousin went voluntarily," she explained.

"She thought they were going to talk and I said, 'Go and settle the matter'. I waved to her. It was 15 or 20 minutes. Dani came back first. She had a bad look on her face.

She told me that he had hurt her a lot, and that he had ejaculated inside her and that she wanted to leave."

Her cousin's statements become even more powerful when she revealed that the young woman was afraid to report it, as she felt she was going to expose a famous person and that nobody would have believed her.

"They told us that the protocol had to be activated and she didn't want to report it," she added.

In addition to this, the relative of the alleged victim has also provided the messages she exchanged with Bruno, Dani Alves' friend, in the days after the incident.

"Let's be friends. My house is in... I'm not always here, but whatever you need, I'm here".

The cousin of the complainant replied: "Thank you very much and the same to you. Happy New Year."
