Monday, March 15 saw a defamation trial held that involved former Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
Keylor, Bryan Ruiz and Celso Borges have taken a case against the Costa Rican Football Federation's - FECODA - former directors.
The players were accused of plotting to deliberately lose matches in order to force the sacking of ex-coach Jorge Luis Pinto.
Former FECODA president Eduardo Li appeared at the trial and explained that Luis Pinto had a clause in his contract that could see him dismissed if he were to lose three games in a row.
"The players knew about the clause," Li said. "Keylor Navas was the one who said 'let's lose the three games'."
Rafael Vargas also accused the players of being keen to see Luis Pinto sacked.
Jose Luis Pinto himself will appear at the trial on March 16.

It’s a common practice it’s obvious even in the EPL MOURINHO lost his job both at the second stint at Chelsea n Manchester United in thesame way. Those are just notable instances but other obvious cases have shown. I think players should b more responsible u aren’t there to b friends with your boss just do your job. Like at Barca now when u are appointed ur first problem is getting Messi onside or else don’t bother unpacking ur bags

That's a very radical means of getting your coach sacked😁 But at the expense of losing out of major competitions. Take a Pick: Heads💀 or Tails 🐉 😁😁
