After England's 2-1 victory over the DR Congo, Klopp commented on the match and Kane's performance.

In Klopp's view, England has already accomplished the most challenging task of this World Cup.

Klopp stated: "Today was probably England's toughest match at the World Cup.

"A fantastic game and a perfect example of a World Cup match. As the clear underdog, the DR Congo impressed everyone with their brave and fearless performance. They showed courage, fought hard, and gave everything. They scored a goal and defended beautifully. But in the end, the overwhelming favorite won thanks to a player who is simply beyond description."

Klopp then praised Kane, who surpassed Lineker: "I don't know if they're building a statue for him now, but in England, they will absolutely erect a statue for him. Honestly, I've never seen anyone have such a terrifying influence as Kane. If Kane isn't performing—like in the first 30 minutes—then England doesn't function either. But in the second half, from the moment he found his rhythm, he was basically unstoppable."

On Kane's second goal, Klopp said: "My goodness! He can score with just extremely subtle adjustments. Even when the pass isn't perfect, he still produces a perfect shot. This is a goal only Kane could have scored—simply incredible."

Klopp's conclusion is clear: "Kane is England's Messi. I once had a long conversation with him. He is a truly great person. That's equally important."
