Jurgen Klopp has refused to answer a question at his post-game press conference, claiming he is unhappy with the journalist's coverage of the club.
Liverpool suffered yet another defeat on Saturday, losing 3-0 to Premier League strugglers Wolves leaving them tenth with just one win in their last five in the league.
An early Joel Matip own goal was followed by a strike from Craig Dawson that left the visitors chasing a two-goal deficit after just twelve minutes at Molineux.
Asked by Athletic journalist James Pearce whether the team's poor starts this season were down to an issue with mentality, Klopp refused to answer. 'It's very difficult to talk to you if I'm 100% honest. I would prefer not to do that.'
The former Borussia Dortmund boss claimed that he was refusing to answer the reporter's question due to his coverage of the club, but added that he was happy to elaborate on the topic if another member of the media asked.
'You know why, for all the things you wrote. So If somebody else wanted to ask that question than I'll answer it and if not.'
Klopp then went on to admit that his side's tendency to endure slow starts was concerning, and added that defeat on Saturday represented the nadir of the club's season so far.
'Yes that's true, we had that subject through the first part of this season, now not so much. But today it was the pinnacle of our problems because in a game like this it is absolutely not allowed.
'You can criticise, you can judge us you can say whatever you want and you are probably right, I have nothing to say against that because these twelve minutes are not allowed.
'Coming here with all the things we did in the last few days and during the whole season so far what we want, and then we arrive here and this is the outcome that's really hard to take I have to say.'

Let's us blame everything on Mane being sold now. Is he being missed, Absolutely but most of their games I've watched keep telling me some things; 1: Liverpool has the worst midfield out of the current 10 teams, Why haven't they bought new midfielders? How can you be playing Washed Henderson, Keita & 70 year old Milner till now. I'm very sorry but Chamberlain ain't even Liverpool quality, FGS refresh that Midfield entirely. 2. The defense is horrible without VVD even though he has been trash ASF this season but without him is worse, Matip + Konate/Gomez is pure atrocity so try to get a backup CB. 3. A very serious Coach would have moved TAA to midfield a long time ago & tried to get a new RB because right now, wingers are targeting both him and Robertson because Liverpool plays a very high-line as they both Overlap too much i.e if you can attack them continually U won't enable them to cross continuously as Liverpool has been living on their "FBs tax" well right now its getting exposed. 4. Just sell the club since this current ones are behaving like Daniel Levy no offense 😂. Do I think they can make top 4, absolutely no chance but they can make Europa League at least if some of their injured players like Diaz, Jota, Firmino etc comes back 🔙 or another low-key solution is Klopp has lost the plot so maybe a new Coach might do better but I don't think this is the right one. They should try to solve the first 3 this summer if it doesn't work, then a new Coach might work.
