Jurgen Klopp admitted he was 'concerned' about Liverpool's situation following his side's shock 2-1 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday.
Jadon Sancho fired Erik ten Hag's side ahead in the 16th minute before Marcus Rashford doubled the lead early in the second-half.
Mohamed Salah clawed a goal back for Klopp in the 81st minute but Liverpool were not able rescue a point, dropping to 16th in the Premier League table with just two points.
Having already slipped five points behind champions Manchester City, Klopp confessed he was worried about the Reds' start to the season after the match.
'I'm very disappointed about the result,' the German admitted. 'I am concerned about our situation, but that is how it is.
'It is a game where everything was clear what United would do. Were they more aggressive than us at the beginning? Probably, yes.
'It was exactly the game United wanted to play. That's our fault, you could say.
'But until the final pass or final decision we played like we should have played. We had a lot of moments in the box.
'We scored a goal, which was absolutely deserved, but it was slightly late. We could have won the game tonight if we'd played slightly better.'
Klopp also insisted he was not concerned about the heated argument on display between James Milner and Virgil van Dijk after Liverpool conceded Sancho's opener.
'There was an argument on the pitch but we don't have any kind of issues in the team,' he urged.
'Nobody is happy after you lose a game. That's completely normal. This is not an excuse. All is fine in this department.'

You sold mane the best player in Liverpool and kept salah. You have forgotten that most of salahs goals were assists from mane and a lot of effort from mane as well. Now that mane is gone let salah prove himself. To be honest Liverpool will struggle this season for selling mane

All these whinings about Mane! Hope you know that this is the 3rd EPL game and Salah already has 2 goals? If he continues like this, he's still going to be on the highest goal scorer platform come May 2023. Liverpool's problem is injuries. Sincerely do you think if all players were fit, the starting lineup for Liverpool would have been what they had yesterday? Check out the midfield Harvey, Hendo, Milner. Is that the best even Mane will wish for? How many games did these 3 start last season? The answer should tell you where the problem lies. Now look at the forward line. Diaz, Firminho and Salah. Another question, how many times did these 3 start a match together last season? Do you think if Jota was available, Firminho would have started? Now look at the bench! Only 3 players really existed there! And the 3 were introduced. Fabinho, Tsimikas and Carlvaho. Really Liverpool was chasing a game against Man Utd, their fiercest rival and the best that could be brought in were these 3. Really! And some say allowing Mane leave is the problem? Milner obviously doesn't have the legs again, and Gomez was shaky, if only a Keita and Konate was available, I'm sure they would get into the team ahead of these 2. Nunez caused the problem that led to Firminho introduction from the Start. If Nunez and Jota were available from the start, of course, these guys would have had some impact in the game. I of course cannot claim to be better than Klopp, though I see some nincompoops do that. This guy obviously is one of the best managers around, but against Bournemouth, I'll definitely want to see Carlvaho start in the midfield with his energy ahead of say Milner and Tsimikas start ahead of Robertson and definitely pray Fabinho would be fit enough to start the game! Firminho should start from the bench. He's past his prime obviously, but I believe he can be used for a tactical change. Trent Arnold is an enigma. Even on his off day, you just can't hate him. Here he was leaving a lot of space in the back, but really he still was Liverpool's most menacing player in attack yesterday. Fact is Liverpool will just be weaker without him. Harvey Elliott, through and through was the best player for Liverpool yesterday. I look forward to seeing him, Fabinho and Thiago play multiple games. So should Liverpool sign someone again? Sincerely I think Man City actually strengthened by getting Haaland, even though they allowed Jesus, Zincheko and Sterling leave; but Liverpool has not really strengthened despite signing Carlvaho and Nunez. Mane is major in Liverpool's play style and even Origi would have offered something different from what Firminho does now. So I still think that team is light up front! Maybe and a strong maybe at that, if Chamberlain can be fit, we can say Liverpool is ok, but who would really want to put his bet on Chamberlain staying fit? So of course, if Mane was available yesterday, he's definitely an automatic ahead of Firminho. But the guy wanted to leave and it makes sense to allow him to rather than to lose him for nothing. And I'm sure even Mane will not be happy to see those midfield behind him and looking at the bench and seeing it bare. Liverpool's in a desperate situation, Mane's leaving is not the cause of this.

Agreed 👍
You’re stupid for you agreeing How many goals has mane assisted salah Throughout of last season mane had 4 assists Only one of those is for salah against Manchester United second leg last season And salah assisted mane 5 times last season So you must be mad for agreeing Losing Mane isn’t Liverpool problem for now He wanted to leave and find new adventures Should Liverpool tie a rope on his neck Nop We lack creativity and we needed a good one or two creative midfielders that’s just it Also these guys are tired They played the whole game of last season and some still went to play uefa nations league and you expect them to be good 9 first team players is injured If you look at our bench today only Fabinho was there and cavalho the rest are academy graduates We need to spend

Mane has nothing to do with the temporary blip, the sheer number of injuries (9 first team players) is proving difficult to cope with. People forget that at the beginning of last season Mane's inclusion in the team was questioned, it wasn't until the second half of the season (post AFCON) that Mane improved. Virg has played with Matip, Philips and Gomez in first 3 games and it's the worst Van Dijk start I can remember (he should have rushed out to Sancho when Milner slipped). The defence is not settled. Andy Robertson has not turned up yet. Midfield has also been rotated and Firminio is struggling up front. Klopp is loyal to more established players but Milner, Hendo and Bobby are struggling to contribute. We looked more dangerous after Fabs and Carvalho came on. Elliott has high energy is aggressive but is not complemented by Hendo or Milner, Elliott looked better after Carvalho came on. Klopp may not like it but I would start the youngsters and bring Bobby and Millie towards the end when players have tired. Start with Fabs and let Hendo cover. The forwards will settle when Jots and Darwin return. High speed/intensity games are difficult for Bobby now. Klopp has to tinker and have greater faith in Harvey and Fabio to start whilst players are injured. Thiago injury should not affect the creativity of the team as much as it has. The team seems more fearful in the final third of the pitch not the usual composure. Let's see what the reaction will be like. I don't mind losing but there has to be a response.
