Liverpool did not deserve this scoreline. For long periods they looked at home at the Nou Camp. Jurgen Klopp watched his side dominate. They pressed well, their passing was clever and they were organised.
How often do a team go to the Nou Camp and have at least half the possession?
But when you’ve got Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez on the pitch, they’re like heavyweight boxers. If they connect, you hit the deck, and Liverpool were sucker-punched three times by Barcelona’s two big-hitters.
The visitors were the ones searching all the way through the game, trying to win.
They had chances to score. Sadio Mane, considering the form he has been in, should have applied the finishing touches to Mohamed Salah’s through-ball before the break.
In the second half, James Milner had all of the goal to aim at but directed his shot straight at Marc-Andre ter Stegen and then Salah hit the post at the end. I was so impressed by them.
Salah looked like Messi at times with the way he was running at Barcelona’s defence, and I don’t think you’ll see a better left back than Andy Robertson this season. He was like a rash all over his opponents.
Can they come back from this? If they were trailing by a single goal, I’d back them to do so, but 3-0 is such a big scoreline to turn round.

So proud of this team! ❤ the way we defended, the way we attacked. We struggled a lot but we picked our moments and we delivered..

The Stats can clearly state it Kloop. They were very lucky with their goals n only the free kick deserves credit. All our goals were unfortunate You can relate truth football followers we played very well

Liverpool played really well...but Liverpool supporters are seriously the worst! When United lost, they just outright said they lost...nothing like "oh we created chances in half" or "barca were lucky" or any such nonsense. Barca scored 3 hard fought, well deserved goals...Not a single one of them were lucky - The suarez opener required an amazing cross by Alba and a perfect run by Suarez. The 2nd goal was not just amazing by Barca but horrible Liverpool defending as well. Every pool supporter and even Klopp himself has been making it sound like Barca just got lucky. Liverpool were horrible in the final third - as simple as that! And Barca were perfect in everything.

why did they not deserve that? both 11 men on the pitch and both had a total of 90min official.. when you play football you play only football... barca was by far the better team... mane dropped his body for nothing several times... milner pushed messi and did not get anything from that... who deserve what then? i guess the writer of that stupid article is just wanting to make sensations... barca was at a great level and won ... not messi but barca. the whole team deserves credit... liverpool will have 90min on the return leg. but so will barca. this tally can grow from 3 goals to mabe more ... make no mistake of that...

I'm not saying Messi is not good but he had a shortcut to his 10.0 rating. Most of his passes were inaccurate and he wasn't involved in the match for most of the game. Liverpool deserved something from this match no doubt but still their ratings are low AF. I don't know if it's just me but I'm just saying my mind.
Don't u see CR getting 10 rating for just scoring headed goals without contributing any key pass. A goal itself boosts your rating.
