Known prankster Jarvo claims credit for porn noises stunt ahead of Wolves vs Liverpool

Known prankster Jarvo has claimed that he was behind the porn noises that left Gary Lineker and co red-faced in the BBC studio before Liverpool's FA Cup replay at Wolves.

BBC's pre-match coverage was interrupted by the noises shortly after the programme began, and they continued for over 10 minutes before Lineker handed over to the channel's commentary team ahead of kick-off.

Lineker confirmed that he had found the source of the noises shortly after the game started, as he posted a picture on Twitter of a mobile phone that had been hidden in the studio.

Alongside a photo of the phone, Lineker wrote: 'Well, we found this taped to the back of the set. As sabotage goes it was quite amusing.'

Jarvo has now taken credit for the embarrassing incident for the BBC, posting a video of himself on YouTube carrying out the prank.

The video shows him talking to a friend while preparing to call the phone in the studio.

He then repeatedly called the phone, which led to the porn noises being made continuously as Lineker and pundit Danny Murphy were left bemused by what was going on.

Jarvo has become a recognisable figure when it comes to playing pranks, particularly in the cricketing world.

When India toured England in 2021, he got on the pitch during the first Test at Trent Bridge and tried to pretend that he was an Indian fielder.

The umpires and stewards quickly realised that he wasn't and removed him from the field, while the India players couldn't help but laugh at his audacious attempt to get involved in the match.

He was back at it in the third Test at Headingley, jogging out to the middle of the pitch and taking guard as if he were about to bat. Once again, he was greeted by the umpires who told him to get off the field of play, and stewards then had to force him away when he refused to leave.

Jarvo had one final prank up his sleeve in that series, as he ran onto the field in the fourth Test at the Oval and pretended to bowl a ball.

He bumped into England batter Jonny Bairstow in his follow-through, and swiftly apologised, while commentator Michael Atherton was far from impressed by his actions.

Jarvo has not been spotted on a cricket field since, but it seems he is still up to his old tricks, and this led to a very uncomfortable evening for the BBC.
