Kroos: Germany currently lacks world-class players

After Germany's elimination by Paraguay, German legend Toni Kroos analyzed the current state of the German team.

Speaking about the current state of the German team, Kroos said: "We currently don't have any world-class players. We have some players with world-class potential, but that doesn't mean they are world-class players. The truly world-class players are the ones deciding every World Cup match, and they're also leading the scoring charts. We don't have anyone in that category, and that's a reality we have to face honestly."

He continued: "In our past successful tournaments, I always felt the team could always raise its level and play at a higher intensity. But this team no longer has that ability. We go into matches thinking we're stronger than Paraguay – and then assume we'll always win."
