Real Madrid remain the favourites to complete the Bosman signing of David Alaba in the summer of 2021, yet despite offering no indication as to where his former teammate may be heading, Toni Kroos has made clear that the Austrian defender would bring a lot of quality to Los Blancos.
Kroos himself made the move from Bayern Munich to the Spanish capital in 2014, and he achieved success in the Champions League playing alongside Alaba in Bavaria.
"If he is a starter at Bayern Munich, then he surely brings the necessary quality to also play for Real Madrid," Kroos explained in an interview with Sky.
"The problem is that I haven't played with him for almost seven years.
"It's difficult for me to know what he thinks about [where he wants to go]."
Alaba's potential arrival would greatly improve Los Blancos' defence, although it could well be a necessary measure if the contractual disputes with Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane aren't cleared up.
