During the draw for the 2026/27 Saudi Super Cup, Kuwait Football Association President Sheikh Ahmed Youssouf Sabah expressed his anticipation for Ronaldo to score his 1000th career goal in Kuwait during the Saudi Super Cup.
Sabah stated, "May God willing, Ronaldo will score his 1000th goal, or even his 1001st, in Kuwait."
Currently, Ronaldo has scored 981 goals in his professional career, putting him 19 goals away from the 1000-goal mark.
The Saudi Super Cup will take place from December 19 to 23 this year. According to the draw, Ronaldo's Al-Nassr will face Al-Hazem in the semi-finals.
