Louis Vuitton officially becomes an official supplier and licensee for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and will display a specially designed trophy trunk at the final.
This trophy trunk is designed to transport and display the most iconic trophy in global sports. As part of the official ceremony, music, and entertainment program, it will be escorted to the final venue by a Louis Vuitton brand ambassador and a FIFA legend. This classic process, which began in 2010, will be repeated at the 2026 final. To commemorate this, Louis Vuitton has also launched an exclusive limited-edition luggage collection.
The trophy trunk is crafted by Louis Vuitton artisans in the brand's historic atelier in Asnières, near Paris, and is covered in the brand's iconic Monogram canvas. Two front panels are hand-painted with golden "V"s, symbolizing both "Victory" and "Vuitton," and complementing the colors of the FIFA World Cup trophy. The trunk's exterior is adorned with leather and the brand's original "Lozines" material, featuring gold-plated brass corner protectors. The locks and rivets continue the brand's classic design from the 1860s. The interior is lined with light-colored leather, and the lid features an inlaid Louis Vuitton and FIFA collaboration logo.
Romy Gai, FIFA's Chief Business Officer, stated: "Louis Vuitton brings a unique combination of tradition, craftsmanship, and prestige to the FIFA World Cup. The official trophy is the most coveted honor in football worldwide, and it rightly deserves to be housed in a Louis Vuitton trophy trunk. The peak moment of the trophy trunk's appearance at the final venue will once again link tradition with the highest achievements of contemporary football."
Pietro Beccari, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, stated: "For over a decade, Louis Vuitton and FIFA have consistently worked together in the pursuit of excellence, and deeply believe that sports can inspire and unite people. We are delighted to continue this partnership at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. At the heart of this alliance is the world's most cherished trophy, symbolizing resilience, collective ambition, and the highest celebration of victory. In this tournament, Louis Vuitton's trophy trunk will continue to carry this legacy, accompanying the celebration of football's greatest achievements and making history together."
Since 2010, Louis Vuitton has maintained close ties with major top international events, having created trophy trunks for the 2010 South Africa, 2014 Brazil, 2018 Russia, and 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cups, accompanying the trophy around the world with the classic concept of "Victory Travels with Louis Vuitton."
As an official licensee for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Louis Vuitton has also launched a limited collection, including three products inspired by the trophy trunk: the Coffret 8 Montres (watch case for eight watches, with removable cushions), the Cotteville 16 Montres (watch case with removable trays, holding up to 16 watches), and the Malle Courrier Lozine 110 (high-end trunk). All three products are covered in Monogram canvas and feature hand-painted FIFA World Cup logos and golden "V"s.
