Manchester United goalkeeper Senne Lammens believes the Red Devils cannot afford "collective off-days" in the Premier League following their defeat to Newcastle United.
Casemiro equalised for United after Anthony Gordon beat Lammens from the penalty spot, while the Belgian could do nothing to stop William Osula's curling finish in the 90th minute as Newcastle won 2-1 at St. James' Park.
This was only the 10th time United have lost to a 90th-minute winning goal in a Premier League match – eight of them have come in the last four seasons.
The Magpies also won with 10 men after Jacob Ramsey was shown two yellow cards in the first half.
United have lost two of their last three top-flight games when their opponents have picked up a first-half red card (W1), having won 20 of their first 23 games when their opponents went down to 10 men in the first 45 minutes (D3).
The Red Devils remain third in the Premier League, in control of their Champions League hopes, but Lammens insisted that they will improve.
When asked what went wrong, Lammens told MUTV: "I mean, yeah, just like physicality, the effort.
"It felt like we didn't bring enough or the same as they did, and then it's always going to be a tough one, especially here with their fans behind them.
"I mean, you can have off-days, of course, but it's a collective off-day, which is not really possible. Not in this league, not against those teams, so we need to learn from it.
"It is a real disappointment, and the feeling is really bad, but we have a couple of days, and I think weeks where we need to get together, and we need to think about how to react.
"Starting from tomorrow [Thursday], it's going to be like this and, in training, keep the intensity going that we can deliver in the games and then react in the next game."
Following their FA Cup exit in January, United's next game comes against top-four rivals Aston Villa on March 15.

If Man United don't change the way they play, they will find it difficult to beat opponents. The last four games, Man United were not playing convincingly.
